KSA-based rice tile survey staff training (Area Frame Sampling) using the CAPI method
August 6, 2020 | BPS Activities
The Ubinan survey aims to obtain data on the productivity of food plants needed in calculating food crop production figures. The KSA (Area Frame Sampling) system is applied as an effort to obtain data for a more accurate, objective and real time estimation of rice harvested area.
In order to improve the quality of data related to the implementation of food crop data collection applications, especially the KSA-based Rice Tiles Survey, on 5-6 August 2020, BPS-Statististics of Sukabumi Municipality held a Training of KSA-Based Rice Tiling Survey Officers using the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) Survey. The training involved 6 officers, namely a supervisor and 5 field officers, conducted face-to-face in class to deliver concept definitions and field practice. The training continues to apply health protocols, namely maintaining physical distancing, using masks and washing hands frequently. On the second day, the ubinan practice was carried out in open land so that the officers could carry out the ubinan according to the SOP (standard operational procedure).
