Podes 2021 is carried out in all administrative areas at the village level including villages, sub-districts, nagari, Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (SPT) which are still being fostered by the relevant ministries in throughout Indonesia. Podes 2021 also covers all sub-districts, districts/municipalities throughout Indonesia. Reliable information on the results of Podes 2021 is needed not only for BPS, but also for other government agencies and the general public as data users. The data from the Podes is a regional (spatial)-based data source that is very important for planning, formulating policy strategies, and evaluating development programs at both regional and national scales in order to improve people's welfare. In line with regional autonomy, accurate information about the location, capacity, and potential of an area becomes very important and gets careful attention by many parties.
