Training of Officers for Updating Directory of Businesses/Economic Enterprises in 2024

BPS developed the Statistical Business Register (SBR) as a framework for business-based surveys and for the preparation of business demographics. SBR data sources come from directory updating/survey feedback/census BPS, administrative data from ministries/institutions, profiling, QIS (groundcheck) and so on. It is expected to improve the quality of SBR data in providing an up-to-date business/enterprise database for the preparation of the economic survey master framework and business unit statistical data.

Ahead of the 2026 Economic Census, an up-to-date directory of economic enterprises is required. In this regard, the Training of Officers for Updating the Directory of Economic Businesses/Enterprises was conducted on June 25-26, 2024, which applied two methods, namely online and offline. The officers involved were 2 supervisory officers and 7 field officers (enumerators).
