Abstract

The total labor force in August 2022 was 159.62 thousand people, an increase of 15.71 thousand people compared to August 2021. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) rose by 5.62 percentage points from 56.86 percent to 62.48 percent.
The working population is 145.52 thousand people, an increase of 17.13 thousand people from August 2021. The jobs that absorbed the most labor were services at 71.61 percent; Manufacturing at 24.20 percent; and Agriculture at 4.19 percent.
The population who worked in formal activities was 78.03 thousand people (53.62 percent), while those who worked in informal activities were 67.49 thousand people (46.38 percent).
The August 2022 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 8.83 percent. TPT decreased by 1.95 percentage points compared to August 2021 (10.78 percent).
The working-age population affected by Covid-19 in August 2022 was 5.23 thousand
