Development of the Consumer Price Index in Sukabumi Municipality December 2024

In December 2024, a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 2.59 percent was recorded, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) at 107.60. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in the personal care and other services expenditure group at 8.18 percent, with a CPI of 113.53, while the lowest y-on-y inflation was in the information, communication, and financial services expenditure group at -0.95 percent, with a CPI of 99.46.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rise of most expenditure group indices, including: food, beverages, and tobacco by 4.32 percent; clothing and footwear by 1.10 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.35 percent; household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance by 0.38 percent; health by 5.90 percent; recreation, sports, and culture by 3.68 percent; education by 4.41 percent; food and beverage/restaurant services by 3.46 percent; and personal care and other services by 8.18 percent. On the other hand, expenditure groups experiencing a decline in the index included: transportation by 0.26 percent and information, communication, and financial services by 0.95 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for December 2024 was 0.84 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for December 2024 stood at 2.59 percent.
